Re: Idaho sales tax exemptions

Title: Re: Idaho sales tax exemptions
Chuck,

I best learn from my students by a) the questions that they ask that I never thought of; b) by the insights that they provide from the experiences they have had that I haven't; and c) from my being required to restate my answers in various ways because one answer either wasn't clear enough or didn't "click".

Hi Dale,

It was meant as a joke-- my apologies as well.

However, I don't learn the most from my students.  While I learn some things from my students, it would be a pretty unfair deal if they paid me to educate me!

I always found that statement to be an interesting one, and a statement of false humility.  My father actually corrected me on it.

When I was exiting my first marriage (about 15 years ago!) I didn't want to get a lawyer to help with the proceedings.  The old man said "pay for your ignorance-- get a lawyer."  When I protested, he told me "think about all those students trapped in your classroom-- what do you think they're doing?"

Teachers, of all people, should not be condescending -- we learn the most from our students.

If that wasn't clear, my apologies.
