I am forwarding the following message to the list because it may be of
interest to the community. I don't know anything about the issue beyond
what is contained below, so I haven't formed an opinion.
To all parties interested in University of Idaho's application
for a Tier II permit to operate an air pollution-emitting source
The Department of Environmental Quality (Department) is scheduling a public
hearing for the University of Idaho's application for a Tier II operating
permit for an air pollution-emitting source. (wood burning). More
detailed information will be available at the hearing.
An information package has been available for public review since June 12,
2002. The legal notice lists the locations it can be reviewed. The
package consists of the University of Idaho's permit application, the
Department's technical analysis, and the proposed permit.
The public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. PDT, July 9, 2002, in the Moscow
City Hall Council Chambers located at 206 E. Third St., Moscow,
Idaho. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. MDT, July 11, 2002.
