Property Taxes

I just received my Assessment Notice for Property Taxes on my home in
Moscow.

Here was the breakdown: 

School District 281: 47.8%
Moscow: 23.5%
County: 19.9%
N. Latah Highway: 5.4%
Library: 2.6%
Moscow Cemetery: 0.8%

I'm appalled that 47.8% of my *local* tax dollars goes to our dwindling,
failing school system -- with requests coming in every day to increase
that tax burden. 

Yet another reason I'm for a separation of School and State.
