Re: write-in candidate
I think what the CQE has done has been marvelous and educational. They came from
nowhere when the school district was in the throes of potential catastrophe with
leadership and great ideas that had not been previously looked at. I agree with
Lois about having the opportunity to vote for more than one candidate. It really
does get the dialogue flowing.
To me it makes no difference when or why the man put his name on the ballot as a
write in candidate, that's why the rule is there, so people can, at the last
minute if they decide to run, can.
Sounds to me like some folk are a bit worried about this fellow. Maybe he will
have some ideas the rest of us hadn't thought of. It is good to have this going
on. For far too long some of the voters in this city have been apathetic when it
came to the school board elections, it is nice to see that changing. People, for
whatever reason are paying attention, isn't that what we need?
May the best man win!
