Re: School funding information
I wonder if anyone else has noticed that Mike Curley is doing a
remarkable job as the volunteer (as in unpaid) chair of the school
board. School board chairs must feel like they have targets painted on
their foreheads--everyone has a complaint, gripe, plan, or solution.
That difficult job reality has especially been true in this contentious
environment. Mike stepped into a situation filled with distrust,
incompetence, and finger-pointing. Anyway, I am impressed by the
leadership Mike has shown, and his continued willingness to gather
public input.
His offer to take questions from anyone, get the answers, and then
distribute the Q/A publicly is a good one.
Only that kind of openness and communication will win back the
support of the people of this region.
Thanks Mike.
