Re: Mardi Gras

Shelley and others,

The Zero Alcohol Youth Party is being organized by my daughter and other
excellent Moscow High School Students with the help of their parents. I am
extremely proud of their efforts to provide an alternative to smoke and
alcohol for that evening's entertainment of youth in our area. The event
is sponsored by an $800 donation from the Mardi Gras Committee. As one of
the adult chaperones for the evening, I urge you to learn about great
community events like this rather than firing off rash criticisms.

This is what was sent to the Daily News:
Check out Moscow's Mardi Gras party for teens on Saturday, March 2. Hosted
at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, festivities begin at 7:30 pm.
Join friends to watch episodes from a popular animated TV show. (Hint:
There will be free doughnuts!) After a short break, BATTLE OF THE BANDS
begins at 10:00 pm. Listen to the encore performance of the winning band at
midnight. Remember to bring student identification for FREE admission.
Celebrate Mardi Gras in style.

If you have more questions about the event, or if you would like to make
additional donations, I suggest you contact the Kenworthy Performing Arts
Centre at 882-4127. If you are a parent and wish to chaperone send me an
email.

Tom
