Call for entries:  Battle of the Bands
Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre
Saturday, March 2nd, 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

Interested musicians from area high schools and colleges wanting to enter
the Battle of the Bands are asked to call the Kenworthy Performing Arts
Centre at 882-4127 for information. Held during Mardi Gras, with a one
hundred dollar cash prize awarded to the winning band, any musical act is
invited to compete. Entries will be judged by area high school students.
Applications received before February 21st will be considered.  Demo tapes
are requested, along with a short description of the band.

The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre is hosting the Youth Mardi Gras Battle
of the Bands on Saturday, March 2nd, from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.   This
youth Mardi Gras event, funded with a grant from the Moscow Mardi Gras
committee, is being organized by a group of high school students and
volunteer adults.  The next planning meeting is Tuesday, February 12th at
5:30 PM at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St. in Moscow.
Anyone interested in helping with publicity, marketing, decorations and
general planning activities is encouraged to attend.
