Radio Free Moscow Benefit 12/20, John's Alley

Dear Fellow Palousians,
You are invited to a benefit concert for Radio Free Moscow this
Thursday, December 20 at 9 pm at John's Alley.  Oracle Shack and The
Shady Riders will be performing.

Radio Free Moscow, Inc. is the future community voice on the airwaves.
RFM has passed the early hurdles in gaining a radio-broadcasting license
from the FCC and expects the station's construction permit to be
approved in early 2002.  After approval, it will take 6 months to a year
to gather, install and test equipment before going on the air.

RFM is a volunteer effort to open avenues for individual expression and
collective knowledge.  The vision is to provide a radio station for the
many voices of Moscow and the surrounding area.  The station will be
easily accessible by members of the community for the purpose of sharing
music, ideas and public events and announcements.

Start-up costs for the endeavor range from $20,000 to $30,000.  Revenue
will be raised from member donations, fundraising events, program
underwriting and grants.

Oracle Shack plays a fusion of rock, bluegrass, and improvisational
dance music.  Their web page is www.oracleshack.com. The Shady Riders
play bluegrass.
