RE: An Ode to America



How absolutely true... I think only an "outsider" can truly appreciate what
we have here. Those of us who were born here and have known nothing else
have only intellectual knowledge of what we have... nothing makes you
appreciate what you have like knowing first hand what it is like to be
without it!

As I have pointed out many times before, our single most important advantage
over much of the world is that we have the ability to speak to each other
freely and openly (like in this forum) so we can learn from one another and
evolve as a prime example of an ever-advancing civilization. The key is to
exercise our rights and with dedication learn and better our selves and our
society.
