approved proceedings for the Week of May 28, 2001



COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
Week of May 28, 2001

County Offices were closed on Monday May 28, 2001 in observance of Memorial
Day. Commissioners Paul J. Kimmell, Loreca J. Stauber, and John A. (Jack)
Nelson met in regular session on Tuesday, May 29, 2001, and Commissioners
Loreca J. Stauber and John A. “Jack” Nelson met on Wednesday, May 30, 2001;
the following actions were taken:

Approved, signed and filed a request to approve the Commissioners’
Proceedings for the week of May 21, 2001.

By Motion and Order authorized the Chair’s signature on a State and Local
Term Agreement between Latah County and Pitney Bowes for renewal of a
Paragon II, Mail Machine and Postage Meter for the Courthouse, for 63
months, at $725.00 per month.

Signed a letter of support regarding a grant application in behalf of the
Moscow Volunteer Ambulance, for their request for another vehicle and
equipment.

Approved, signed and filed a 1-year increment increase for Janice E. Becker,
Receptionist/Clerical Assistant, Prosecutor, Department 07, Line 12,
effective May 1, 2001.

Approved, signed and filed a request for Tuition Aid to North Idaho College
by Jessica Kennedy.

Approved, signed and filed a request for Tuition Aid to North Idaho College
by Erin Southwick.

Filed the ICRMP Statement of Values, as submitted by Dana Magnuson.

Approved, signed and filed a Request for a Tax Cancellation in behalf of MM
Digital Technologies, PPM096.  There is no property.

Approved a request to amend the Table of Organization; Removed Sharea
Moberly, Intern, Planning & Building, Department 11, Line 11.  Project was
finished, effective May 29, 2001.

By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 10:02 A.M. on May 29,
2001, to discuss records exempt from public inspection; pursuant to Idaho
Code Section 67-2345 (1)(d).  Adjourned at 10:25 A.M.

Denied a Request for a Tax Cancellation in behalf of Gerald Farley,
RPM0690003001EA.  Appeal was not filed in a timely manner.

Budget Presentation by Pearl Beauchard, Senior Nutrition Program, May 29,
2001.  No action taken at this time.

Approved, signed and filed a Solid Waste Exemption Request in behalf of
Stacey Page, MH24CT00405.  Property was previously owned by the County at
the time the fees were due.

By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 3:48 P.M. on May 29,
2001, to discuss records exempt from public inspection; Personnel Matters,
pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(a)&(b).  Adjourned at 4:13 P.M.

Completed a Financial Health of Idaho Counties Survey, as requested and
provided by  IAC.

By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 11:34 A.M. on May 30,
2001, to discuss records exempt from public inspection; Indigent Matters,
pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(d).  Adjourned at 12:26 P.M.
Three cases approved, two cases denied.

Tabled the Public Hearing regarding an amendment to Section 11.05 of the
Latah County Zoning Ordinance, Wireless Telecommunications Towers, providing
for the use of performance bonds for June 20, 2001 at 4:00 p.m.

Budget Presentation by Chris Storhok, Rural Development, on May 30, 2001.
No action taken at this time.

Budget Presentation by Les Proctor, Treasurer, on May 30, 2001.  No action
taken at this time.

Budget Presentation by Gerard Billington, Planning & Building.  No action
taken at this time.

Budget Presentation by Kristi Attao and Phillip Allen, Native American
Student Association.  No action taken at this time.

All documents are available for inspection in the office of the
Clerk/Auditor/Recorder.
