Celebrate National Trails Day (Saturday, June 2)

Come celebrate National Trails Day (Saturday, June 2) with three great events:

FARMER'S MARKET BOOTH
The Latah Trail Advisory Committee invites you to celebrate National Trails
Day in Moscow's Friendship Square from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The Committee, in
cooperation with Latah County, the Latah Trail Foundation, and the National
Parks Service Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program, is
recognizing the occasion with an information tent at the Farmers' Market.

Learn more about the Latah Trail project. See maps and photos of the route.
Vote on your favorite trail logo design. Witness presentation of Golden
Spike Awards to donors contributing $1,000 or more; and the Golden Rail
Award (for donations exceeding $10,000) to the University Inn/Best Western.
See who you know in snapshots from the Fine Art of Trail Raising
fundraising dinner and art auction. Latah Trail tee shirts and handcrafted
walking sticks will be available. Call 883-3741 for more information.

GUIDED HIKE on TROY-MOSCOW TRAIL
Guided hikes on the Latah Trail will follow at 1:00, beginning at Troy City
Park. Shuttle service will be available. Call 883-3741 or stop by the
booth to make reservations for the shuttle service and hike.

PLANTING at BERMAN CREEKSIDE PARK (Moscow)
The community planting day at Berman Creekside Park along Paradise Path
north of Styner Avenue in Moscow happens from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The
Paradise Path Task Force and the Moscow City Parks Department will have the
trees, shrubs, and perennials at the park ready to plant on Saturday
morning. There will be some tools available, but if you have shovels,
trowels, or gloves, please bring them. Specific directions to the park
and a copy of the planting plan are available at the Eggan Youth Center.
Refreshments will be provided.
