Lead Poisoning at High School

The Saturday Lewiston Tribune had a front page article yesterday about the
health impact of a pottery kiln ventilation system that malfunctioned and
caused health concerns for Moscow art teachers Melanie Siebe and Adriaan
Guertsen. There was an apparent lack of responsiveness by district
personnel in addressing Ms. Siebe 's long standing concerns. It wasn't
until Ms. Siebe alerted the State Board of Education that action was taken
which included environmental testing, cleanup and a new ventilation system.

What I found most disturbing was that the Moscow School District has chosen
not to alert former students and parents of the potential health risks even
after Ms. Siebe's health problems were identified as related to the
failure of the equipment. If this is true, why is the District not sharing
the information?
