Vision2020 archives are back

Everyone,

The Vision2020 archives are back in place and updating
regularly again. They can be reached from a link on the
Vision2020 home page:

             http://vision2020.moscow.com

On behalf of Kevin Owen, Shannon Owen, and myself, I'd like
to thank Everyone for your kind outpouring of support
from the list--it was quite overwhelming. Sometimes we
get so busy here at First Step that we forget the tremendous
support the community has always given us. Ms. Marci Schreiber's
offer of financial support was also very kind. However, First Step's
support and maintenance of the Vision2020 list has always
been intended as support for the community. As Mr. McMunn
so kindly pointed out, Vision2020 is one of the things that makes the
Palouse a great place to live and First Step is quite proud
to be part of it.

First Step supports the community both financially and with donations
of hardware and services. We contribute to the Arts, the University
of Idaho athletics, the Latah County Community Foundation, the Latah
Trail Foundation, Moscow primary and secondary schools. We are very
proud to be able to give back to the community that supports us.

In the very near future we will be bringing high-speed internet access
to the "bandwith-challenged" via wireless connectivity. Those who live
outside the range of land line DSL will have access to high-speed internet
connections. For more information you can write to wireless@fsr.com or
contact our office at 208 882-8869.

We expect this service will digitially empower those rural community members
previously at a disadvantage due to slow or no connections. One First
Step engineer discribed it as a service that will "bridge the digital
divide."

Thanks again everyone for your support,

Bill Moore
Director, R&D
First Step
