Bob,
	Does a person have to be anti-democracy to support the electoral college?
Democracy is not just one structure. Isn't the electoral college just a form
of democracy, i.e., a two stage process that takes geography into account.
No big whoop usually.

After the constitutional convention let out a women
asked Benjamin Franklin what form of government we had
to which he replied "A republic madam, if you can keep
it." The democracies of Athens ended thousands of
years ago. The electoral college protects our form of
government from the uneducated and apathetic masses
that would turn it into a mob rule.
