Christmas concert: Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale
The Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale will be performing "A Wondrous
Mystery," a concert of Christmas music on December 15 at St. Boniface Church
in Uniontown. The concert will be repeated on December 16 at the United
Methodist Church of Lewiston, and on December 19 at the First Presbyterian
Church of Moscow. All performances are at 8 pm.
Under the direction of Charles Neufeld, the 75-member chorale will be
performing a variety of Christmas music, including renaissance, traditional,
and contemporary settings. Of particular note for local residents is the
performance of "O Nata Lux" by Morten Lauridsen, a modern composer who
is a Colfax native and now is the composer-in-residence for the Los Angeles
Master Chorale.
Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 at the door. Children 12 and under are
admitted for free with an adult. Tickets can be purchased at Neill's Flowers
in Pullman, Bookpeople of Moscow, Cornerstone Interiors in Lewiston, or the
Bank of Pullman in either Colton and Uniontown. Tickets can also be ordered
by phone at 509-332-2439.
The Uniontown concert fills quickly; attendees are urged to arrive
early in order to assure that they get seats.
More information about this concert is available at the Chorale's Web site:
www.iwchorale.org.
"A Wondrous Mystery" is the second of four concerts the Chorale is
performing this season within the season's theme, "The Heart Sings."
