COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS
Week of November 6, 2000
Commissioners Loreca J. Stauber and Samuel G. Duncan met in regular session
on Monday, November 6, 2000. Commissioners Stauber and Kimmell met in
regular session on Wednesday, November 8, 2000. The following actions were
taken:
Approved, signed and filed the Commissioners’ Proceedings for the week of
November 6, 2000.
Approved, signed and filed a request for Renewal of the Retail Alcohol
Beverage License by Fearless Farris Service Stations, Inc., dba Stinker
Handi Mart #38, 1044 Pullman Road, Moscow.
By Motion and Order, ratified an indemnity bond in the amount of $5,724.37
to Standard Insurance Company Dental.
Filed the Public Defender hours for the month of October, 2000, as submitted
by Gregory C. Dickison.
Filed the Court Assistance Office Report for the month of October, as
submitted by Francis Thompson, Court Assistance Officer.
File a Certificate of Residency in Latah County for Dustin Steven Fiscus,
who is transferring from the College of Southern Idaho to North Idaho
College.
By Motion and Order, approved the Chair’s signature on a Wal-Mart Community
and Business Charge Account Application for Latah County departments.
Approved, signed, filed a corrected Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Salary for Steve
Vinsonhaler, Law Clerk, subject to verification by the Budget Officer.
By Motion and Order approved a donation of $2,000 to the Sojourner’s
Alliance to house the Americorps Volunteers during their stay in Moscow,
from November 3 through November 13, 2000.
Approved, signed, filed Contractor’s Affidavit Concerning Taxes, Labor and
Material Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Power of Attorney and
Certificate of Authority of Attorney(s)-In-Fact, from GenCon, Inc., for the
Latah Health Services Sanitary Sewer Project.
Approved, signed, filed a request by Judge John Stegner to reimburse Nez
Perce County for Bailiff Services for the duration of the Shackelford trial.
Latah County will also provide mileage and lunch reimbursement.
Approved, signed, filed a request by Judge John Stegner to rent vans to
transport the jury to view the crime scene pertaining to the Shackelford
trial.
By Motion and Order approved the Chair’s signature on the final draft (when
presented) of the Latah County Adult Protection Protocol.
By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 11:16 AM on November 6,
2000, to discuss Indigent matters pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345
(1)(d). Adjourned at 11:25 AM. One case approved, zero cases denied.
Approved, signed, filed a request by Mike Kinner to change long-distance
carriers for the county telephones. The Board has directed Mike to make the
decision and report back to the Board.
By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 4:42 PM on November 6,
2000 to discuss Personnel Matters, pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345
(1)(a)&(b). Adjourned at 4:55 PM.
By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 9:50 AM on November 8,
2000 to discuss Acquisition of an Interest in Real Property, pursuant to
Idaho Code Section 67-2345, (1)(c). Adjourned at 10:25 AM
