Whitman County Community Development

Jeff Goebel, who works at WSU as some kind of rural econ dev specialist, is a
guru in the holistic management field. I met him when I wrote about some of the
successes his programs have had with farmers and rural communities in this
region. He was the facilitator that Ken Medlin invited to run that afternoon
community discussion in February or whenever that was.
Anyway, Jeff is now directing a consensus-building program in Whitman County
focusing on issues of rural econ development. He got some support from a local
bank to underwrite this and plans meetings around the county, etc.
I am forwarding this info, since the situation in Latah and Whitman counties are
parallel. I hope he will continue to keep us informed about this effort.
