dam-breaching discussion

There will be a dam-breaching discussion this Thursday, October 10, at
2.30 p.m. in the courtroom at the U of Idaho, College of Law.  
	Professor Richard Stroup of Montana State and PERC (Political
Economic Research Center) will argue in favor of keeping the dams up, and
Professor Art Smith of the U of I, College of Law will be responding to
Stroup's argument.  
	PERC is a think tank in Bozeman, MT that searches for market based
solutions to to environmental issues.  Professor Stroup has written
extensively on the Endangered Species Act among other things.
	Professor Smith teaches Environmental Law, Public Land Law and
Torts and has published articles about various environmental issues.

Admission is free and attendance is highly recommended.
