Once upon a time, we wished we could have motor vehicles operate reliably 
in the winter.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and technological advances, 
they do now.

Solar energy is one of the keys to solving our impending petroleum 
shortage.  Sure, it works better in Arizona.  But nothing in history was as 
efficient and geographically independent as internal combustion & 
petroleum.  There won't be a magic-bullet replacement, so Solar will 
certainly be part of the solution.
