Actually, the argument is lame.

Congress passes hundreds of laws that require many new lawyers each year to litigate.

Because there are more laws doesn't mean that we are better off -- even if the
propagation of laws means more work for more people.

To prove his point, he needs to demonstrate that we are _overall_ better off; not
merely that a segment of the population is better off.

As always, "government" doesn't _create_ jobs.
