Thanks, Linda, for the feedback! Of course you in Council cannot 
respond to every issue coming out of the woodwork. The size of the 
Aquatic Park initiative and the pressing needs for wholesome 
youth-family activities loom rather large for some folks. Perhaps a 
small committee of appointed officials, between P & R and two or 
three other depts. could monitor operations and report through the 
city supervisor to the press --? There needs to be feedback out of 
the city loops to the public, which would stop a lot of the 
speculating and accusatory inquiries. There's no doubt the new Park 
is a success and is very popular, notwithstanding a few problems like 
overcrowding and the short season.
    Your statement is deeply appreciated, given your tough load and
