Slow Cities League
In case you missed the NPR Morning Edition article on the Italian "Slow
Cities League" movement, you can go to the NPR.ORG website and listen to an
audio stream or find the AP article online at places such as:

The slow cities movement began in Europe as a reaction to the increasing
number of "fast food" establishments such as MacDonald's. The concept of
"slow food" where eating and socialization go hand in hand, quickly led to
the question Why not entire slow cities?
