This was a horrific mistake.  I had intended to send a message privately to 
Bill London, clicking the "reply" button on an email from him (BOCC Agenda 
for week of April 10, 2000).

It turns out that the BOCC Agenda postings are identified as coming from 
bill_london@hotmail.com, but the "reply to" address is actually 
vision2020@moscow.com.  I did not catch the mistake until I receive the 
Vision 2020 message, complete with "Do Not Forward" disclaimer.  To my 
total embarrassment.

I have put a message in to the list host, First Step Research, and intend 
to work on a solution so this kind of error never happens again.

I stand behind the statements of fact in the message in question, with 
proper allowances for my periodic sarcasm.  I apologize to individuals 
mentioned in my message, as I had not intended for their names to be 
mentioned by me in a public forum.

For the record, I am not anti-Alturas.  I am a high-technology worker, and 
don't discount that I might one day work at the High Technology Park.  I do 
have some reservations about some mechanisms by which the project was 
realized, and the representations that were made to the public.  But I have 
never taken issue with the project as a whole.
