1912 pics / city net update

Dearest friends,

I just got done editing the drawings for the 1912 building... I think it
will be up this week at the city web site. If you have not checked it out
lately you should... the links have been fixed and we have been improving it
a lot. Brant (assistant to the City Supervisor) has been working hard on the
content, which has been a welcomed help. I have been working on the
structural design and hope to implement some of the more interactive
services late this year.

By the way you know that the Engineering and Community development
(building) departments moved to the old job service, which is called Mann
building now. The move went well and we have implemented brand new data and
telephony wiring, which will be used in the citywide network that will
activate in a month or so.

I apologize for not having contributed much to this group for a month or so
but the city projects are moving at a great pace.

In a couple of weeks the finance dept. will move to the third floor of the
city hall. We are rewiring the city hall (like the Mann building) for the
network next week and the fiber should be up in about a month.

It has been great to have all the departments pull together in a cooperative
effort to make the changes work for all. I truly believe that the city
government is going through a major change. The technology implemented by
this summer will allow us to provide unprecedented citizen involvement by
the end of the year.

Incase you did not pick up on it... I am psyched!! My dream is coming true
and the entire community will benefit from it.
