Thoughts at the breakfast table:  

The one use of the 1912 building I could understand was the relocation of the 
senior citizens center from the old post office building. The city staff was 
supportive as they could then utilize the first floor of that building.

As an alternative to the 1912 building for the seniors, why not relocate them 
to the Fairgrounds as part of the bond issue remodel project.  There would be 
plenty of parking and would make use of existing buildings which could get a 
$100,000 grant to help fund.  Showing citizens a weekly large group use 
would, I believe, help get the fairgrounds bond issue passed.
