The new federal highway funding system is under the heading of TEA-21
There are an enormous amount of projects rolling out and under contention
presently.
Any good search engine brings TEA-21 up....lots to read about. Im not so
sure that what we have going on with our four lane to come is entirely
within the intent of the funding.
For example there is a lot of wording about alternative transportation
support(Bikes/pedestrians)
Somebody correct me if im wrong but:
>From a local representation point of view the city had a meeting a couple of
years ago at outset of getting funding and asked for a by pass with
realignment and widening of 95...we got a four lane and no by pass.
It will be interesting to see if anything of substance comes from the public
meetings soon to come...or just a straw hat and cane routine.
