Tom Trail

Rep. Tom Trail had six coronary bypasses on Tuesday.  He is doing fine and a full recovery is expected.  Dr. Maynard Miller is here as his replacement.  Dr. Miller and I have this date reviewed Tom's legislative proposals and are introducing them in either the House or the Senate.  

I spent an hour or so with Tom and JoAnn on Monday evening.  We discussed his upcoming operation, he called Dr. Miller, and we reviewed his legislative package. At that time he had intended to be back in two weeks, but was anticipating only 4 bypasses.  

He needs time to rest and JoAnn has kept folks informed.  With her constant attention and our prayers, Tom will be fine.  He asked me to inform folks that he does intend to run for re-election in the fall.
