Re: Hard Boot

Dear Vision2020:

The Spokesman's Highway 95 article was a splendid piece of journalism,
presenting the tragedy of 35 lost lives, each one individually recalled,
with the safety and political issues explained.

I wish The Idahonian, under the leadership of the new editor, would wake
up and start some real reporting on local issues, such as the
Spokesman's. It seems that our local paper is unable to keep track of
the local stories: the hospital merger, the Alturas Industrial Park
scandal, the highway, the 1912 building, and the list goes on. From The
Idahonian I have not a clue what is happening in our city or county.
Yet, I notice that the editorials are more strident than ever, some of
them little more than wild ravings. Where are they getting their facts?
Or, do they bother?

Sorry to be so negative; but, I have enjoyed our paper in the past and I
think it really needs to improve from its present state.
