Vera is as good as it gets at the Daily News, and we should be trying hard
to get her to quit thinking about retiring. Vera is old school, which
means that her idea of what's news is about the same as mine. Some of her
column is just silly, of course, but that's what you get when people are
under the gun to fill a certain amount of space on a regular basis.
