RE: kamiak butte, roads, pipelines, etc.

Early this summer, Whitman County provided services to Washington State 
Parks to construct fire access roads on Kamiak Butte.  These roads are for 
rural fire truck access, providing level pumping spots on the south slope 
and turn-arounds.  Don't know anything about an Olympic Pipeline route near 
Kamiak, but there is a Pacific Gas and Electric natural gas pipeline route 
through Whitman County.  Go to www.pge-nw.com to see a route map of the PGE 
pipeline.  PGE would have had to receive right-of-ways for the pipeline 
route, which is beyond the County's jurisdiction, other than recordation.
