the plan is never to do "investigative journalism" unless the need for the
Eagle to do this is made clear. Daily newspapers have that job and that is
where they should focus (in my opinion). thanks Susan for the favorable
words as well about the Eagle. i feel there is a real need for this type of
paper in the county and have felt that way for 20 years (this has been in
the planning and I have saved my pennies to this end for that long).
Steve asked what would be different than what they are now doing? Some of
the things i pick up here i could use - minutes of meetings etc. But even
these have no detail really. I suppose what would be different would be to
write down what you have happening or know about in a form that could be
used without much editing. Even the editing takes time and we have a staff
of two.
