Has anyone else been watching the investigative journalism reports on PBS?
The series National Desk is being broadcast at noon Sunday on PBS channel
7. It was previously broadcast during the wee hours of the morning, but
has shifted to a more viewable time. The series is remarkable for being
so UN-politically correct. It takes to task some of the sacred cows and
bizarre legislation enacted by Congress during the 1960s and later.
This week the feature is "Title IX and Women in Sports: What's Wrong
with this Picture?"
Last week was "Politics and Warriors: Women in the Military."
Before that was "The War on Boys" which detailed how schools are
discriminating against boys. The discredited 1992 AAUW report
(which purported to show how girls were not getting adequate attention)
fostered much bad legislation and bad policy, and is still creating
problems today.
