bill -- our mtg at the u of i yesterday was unsatisfying in more ways than
one!  but informative in it's own way.  people's interests and agendas are
more clear now i think, because all of us are thinking through what we
want. and dont.

not sure i can work with tom on a long term basis.

also, my instincts about pulling back are threatening again, as i prepare
to leave the house in 30 minutes to spend *all*  day on soccer (lining the
field, buying stuff for the family potluck, going to the game, getting the
grill to the potluck ad infinitum). whine whine whine.

it may be that i am best used as a communicator, and prod to the public
engagement process. i'll write my letter to the editor tomorrow (no
soccer).  have you worked on the issues piece? if you want to borrow that
big notebook, let me know.

i'll talk to mike curley today about a lawyer.

what about asking sp if she would help with the public process this summer,
if there is one? would you consider trying to reach her at home this
weekend? just a thought.
