Steve .... You don't say, above, whether you listened on the radio or not.
I listened to Bob Curtis, and the game was a cliff hanger, and frustrating in the end. We could just of well has
won it, had some moments turned in our favor.
It must be exceedingly difficult to win there. The crowd noise was so loud that towards the end of the game it was
difficult to understand Curtis, who was speaking directly into a microphone. It was almost deafening.
As you might expect, there was a noticable number of "strange" calls by the officials.
Immediately below is what I just pulled off the Spokesman Review website for today. It's brief, so maybe it's off
the wire, and what you've read already?

Vandals miss their shot:
Idaho hurts its chances for division title with narrow defeat at Utah State
LOGAN, Utah _ Idaho's poor shooting night and its failure in the clutch led to a 68-67 men's basketball loss to the
Aggies at Utah State University on Thursday night.
The loss leaves the Vandals 14-10 overall and 9-5 in the Big West, with only the slimmest of chances of winning the
Eastern Division title.
Idaho plays at Nevada on Saturday and has its home finale against division leader Boise State on Feb. 28. Boise has
a trip to Utah State and a home game against Pacific remaining before its trip to the Kibbie Dome. The Vandals
would have to win both of their games and BSU would have to lose its three remaining games for the Vandals to claim
the divisional title and top seed into the Big West tournament, which is March 4-6 at Reno, Nev.
Idaho had a chance in the final seconds on Thursday night to alter the outcome at the Spectrum, where the Aggies
now have won 24 of 25 Big West Conference games.
Idaho's Avery Curry, who scored a season-high 29 points, trimmed what was an 11-point deficit in the second half to
one point, 68-67, by hitting two free throws with 50 seconds remaining. Utah State's Donnie Johnson then missed the
front end of a one-and-one with 35 seconds to go.
But, even with a timeout with 17 seconds remaining, Idaho was unable to find a shot and the clock ticked down to 1
second. The Vandals called time to set up a desperation attempt, but there wasn't enough time for a viable shot.
That miss capped a night of misses for the Vandals. They shot 40.4 percent (23 of 57) from the field and only 57.9
percent (11 of 19) from the free-throw line.
``It's a wonder when you get right down to it that it's a one-point game,'' UI coach David Farrar said.
``I do think our players sucked up and finally got the fortitude to play in it. On the other hand, we buried
ourselves in the first half.''
That sporadic early play, a ragged start to the second half, and the poor shooting made the Vandals' dominating
edge (37-25) on the boards irrelevant.
Donnie Johnson and Tony Brown scored 17 points each for the Aggies.
