Without disagreeing that gas prices are (have always been? probably fresh
mounts cost the Pony Express an extra 10 cents up here) higher than they
should be in Moscow, I'd point out that we need to keep our arithmetic in
line with reality. Gas prices tend to be at most 10 cents a gallon more
than in Lewiston. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not justifying that.) To spend
$150 more a year on gas would require using 1,500 gallons. Because it was
stipulated that the vehicle was being driven 10,000 miles per year,
division indicates it needs a tuneup badly.

Wait, wait -- I stand corrected. Research indicates that the Pony
Express never served Moscow.
