Not that I know of. I haven't heard of art-film houses being frozen out
of small films, the way independent theaters have allegedly been frozen
out of big new films in favor of the chains.
I wonder if the Micro could make it as a full-price art-film house, on the
theory that most of the folks who used to go to art films there when it
was a discount place would still go at a regular movie theater price? Or
are we such a video-happy place that video rentals have replaced the
theater for seeing non-special-effects blockbusters? (If the latter, make
sure you patronize BookPeople's art-film videos. We don't want to lose
that too.)
