Community Retreat Party

Please make plans to attend the community celebration for the release of
the reports from the Moscow Community Retreat.

Here's the specifics:
>
> A community celebration for the unveiling and distribution of the
report
>from the Moscow Community Retreat will be held at the Moscow Community
>Center at Third and Washington Streets on Tuesday, September 22, from
>4:30pm until 6:30pm, announced Linda Pall, member of both the Moscow
City
>Council and the celebration planning committee. The free party will be
>co-sponsored by the City of Moscow and Moscow Vision 2020, the
non-profit
>citizen group that organized the Moscow Community Retreat that was held
on
>June 13.
>	Everyone who attended the Community Retreat--or who wished that they
had
>attended--is welcome to come to the celebration, Pall said. Moscow
area
>grocery stores have donated cake and beverages for the party. Local
>musicians will provide entertainment.
>	Copies of the report, which summarizes the recommendations from the
200
>Moscow area residents who attended the Community Retreat, will be
available
>at the celebration. Paper, pens and markers will also be available for
>those who would like to add either drawings or written suggestions for
>future generations of the community report.
>Three large presentation copies of the report will be displayed at the
>celebration, and those who attend the celebration will be asked to sign
>those three copies.
>Those presentation copies, signed by local residents like the
Declaration
>of Independence was signed at the founding of this country, will be
given
>to the City of Moscow, the local historical society, and to the
library,
>Pall added.
>At the Moscow Community Retreat, held on Saturday, June 13,
approximately
>200 local residents met to discuss ways in which their community could
be
>improved. The discussions were held in ten small groups focused on
>specific interest areas like recreation or economic development. The
>recommendations from those small group discussions form the core of the
>report to be distributed at the community celebration on September 22.
