Ah, c'mon Bri.

As to # 1 -- perhaps contrition is in the ears of the hearer, but contrite
is not a term that I would employ.

According to this morning's Spokesman, # 2 on you rlist is incorrect:
Their reporter asked her in 1995 and she specifically denied having an
affair with anyone. Also, there are many rumors that the relationship
with Ravenscroft was not the only one -- and she through her press people
is specifically refusing to answer that question.

Finally, you missed the most significant difference: hypocrisy. This came
out because she launched a series of campaign ads adopting (once again) a
self-righteous and (it turns out) hypocritical stance on the morality of
extra-marital sexual relationships.

I don't really care how many or with whom either of these politicians had
affairs. It strikes me rather like fiddling while Rome burns: a diverting
spectacle, perhaps, but one that is ultimately not in anyone's best
interest.
