re: Daily News Archives
Kay and Visionaries:
To the best of my knowlege, there is no archive of the Daily News --
electronic or otherwise. Last time I checked, there were clipping files
organized by reporter's byline. So if you know WHO wrote a story and WHEN it
ran, you may be able to track down a particular article. Otherwise, you will
have to look at microfilm at the DN office or UI library, which can be tedious
if you don't know the date.
The Lewiston Tribune, by contrast, has archived its stories electronically
since 1991. You can get details on the Trib's website, www.lmtribune.com
There is a small fee to search on line. If I'm not mistaken, the UI Library
buys each year's archive on a CD rom and it's searchable via the terminals in
the library.
In short, if you're looking for details about a regional news event, hope that
it was covered by the Tribune.

I am wondering if there is any way to access the Daily News Archives via
the Web? I sent a message to the editor asking for any assistance but have
received no word. If anyone has any information that would help me I would
greatly appreciate it!
As for the Pullman insineratior: Hack, Weez, Sniffle, Cough.
same old song and dance,
