the formation of a CITIZENS COUNCIL FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. An open

Community Center from 11:00 - 12:30.

and latah county. Membership is open to families, business people,
representatives of service organizations, and community volunteers
interested in identifying and addressing issues that affect the lives of
our youngest community members.

intent of the council; explore the type of paricipation and level of
interest expressed by potential members; and identify and prioritize tasks
the council may undertake.
Activities the council may want to consider could include: working with
area legislators on early childhood issues; identifying and/or developing
community assets that can benefit young chilcren; facilitating educational
activities or forums to increase community awareness of issues related to
young children; connecting volunteers with early childhood programs.
All interested parties are welcome. If you have questions or would like
more information, please call Laurie Danahy at 883-0926.
