The young people in our area benefit from strong educational institutions
as well as a business community willing to help in any way possible. We
would like to encourage your participation in our efforts. Hosting a
student in your business for a job shadow, speaking to young people about
your career, participating in career fairs, becoming a mentor for a local
student, these are just some of the ways to become involved. Please
contact Debbie at the Chamber office (882-1800) with any questions or ideas
you might have regarding opportunities for youth.
This Wednesday, April 15th the Chamber Business Forum luncheon will focus
on education. The featured speaker will be Mike Rush, Interim
Administrator of the State Division of Vocational-Technical Education.
This luncheon is held at the University Inn, starts at noon and costs $8.
If you would like to attend please RSVP by calling the Chamber office.
