I found out just how arbitrary this process can be when my house was
re-assessed this past year. I visited the Assessor's office several times,
did my research and found out that it can get a bit shady. I ended up
having to appeal my assessment. This process can be very time-consuming and
more than a bit frustrating.

It's clear that if the County is going to attempt to assess at market value,
a full-disclosure law must be passed in the interest of fairness.
