I would like to applaud the recommendation of the Swimming Pool Committee
and the favorable vote it received from the City Council. I am a seasonal
swimmer and I loved swimming at Ghormley with our children and I look
forward to swimming at the new facility. Yes, the season may be only 60-75
days but I'll be there every day. By the way, I never swim at the UI, not
because it's apoor facility but because I hate swimming indoors. All my
positive memories of swimming have involved swimming outdoors. Even when I
lived in Alaska as a teenager I swam outside. I can't wait to be able to
swim outdoors in Moscow again!
