Gifted and Talented Programs--For the first time since 1992 major funding
was
obtained for gifted and talented programs in Idaho's public schools.
JFAX
approved $500,000 for teacher training of the gifted and talented
students.
Governor Batt had not included any money for the program in his education
budget, but strong support from students, parents, and teachers assisted
in
getting the needed funding.
