school discipline

Oh yes, when I was in primary and secondary school (60s and
early 70s) the teachers and administrators used
paddles--although they were predominantly reserved for boys only. How
lovely (tongue in cheek) to imagine returning to the good ol' days of
corporal punishment.

Discipline issues are enormously complex, and it's difficult to point
the finger at teachers, administrators, parents, or others. There is
undoubtedly a statistically significant correlation between class
size and discipline problems. That may be a key structural change.
