I'm concerned that there seems to be very little public discussion of this
issue--public meetings, newspaper articles, etc.--while my experience is
that privately people are really talking and concerned.
If you are interested in somehow encouraging more public discussion on this,
please Email me and perhaps we can develop a plan to bring some issues out
in the open.
I'm not even clear what the process is going to make a choice among the
options, although I've asked this question a couple of times. Are we going
to rely on an unscientific vote by people who were at the mall two weeks
after Christmas when both universities were still on break?
While I'm at it--kudos to Pullman which decided to build a $1 million skate
park with the attitude "Hey--it's a good idea; people will fund it."
