Applications for Friends of the Library are also available at the front =
desk of the library. By joining the Friends you can help support the =
many worthwhile projects the Friends undertake each year to help the =
library better serve the community. For instance, the Friends support =
the summer reading program in which over 1300 children participated last =
summer. Other projects involve starting a CD music collection and a =
computer CD ROM collection. This year many special events will be =
offered for the Friends including dinners at the library, opportunities =
to meet authors, and travel programs.
