As I understand it, the city has asked for a light at Styner and Hwy
95. It is the Idaho Transportation Department that refuses to put
it in.

Phil is correct....Over a year ago, just as the Styner Street project =
was being completed a delegation from the City went to the Idaho =
Transportation Board and asked for a light at the Main/Styner =
intersection, this was when the C-Store & Arby's were just rumors. In =
order to put the light in the City MUST get permission from the =
Transportation Board because the road is a State Highway. The light was =
denied for the following reasons:
1. There is already a light at Sweet Ave. =20
2. The IT Board did not like the idea of stopping big trucks on the =
crest of a hill during the winter.
3. Styner was not supossed to become an arterial.
The Board should be meeting here in Moscow in September, perhaps it's =
time that we the citizens of Moscow show up at the meeting in support =
for the light. =20
