Actually, both are options at this point.
The decision as to the kind of traffic calming device to add to
Polka Street is not mine alone, but belongs to those who will pay for
it--the folks who live on this street and who have already signed on for
an LID (local improvement district).
At our block party in August of 1996, we displayed several
options. The most popular was the redesigned street with the curb
extensions--not the speed bumps (too ugly).
We hopefully willl be deciding at our meeting with the city latere
this month.
