I've been musing ... The after effects of Tax Day '97.
Maybe we in this "community" missed an opportunity ...
To have the first "virtual" inauguration of a university president ...
Think about it ... a web site with text, photos, clips of sound and video,
not too distant, conceptually, from a mode in which President Hoover
excels (pun intended), MS PowerPoint.
This could be very powerful if only we could point more of the "community"
to it ... I'm afraid too many are not web enabled.
On the other hand, a much greater community of participants would be
enabled over real geographic space, and in time. They could view the
inaugural web site at their temporal convenience, wherever they are in
geospace.
Is this still possible and worthwhile? Surely there must be photos, sound
and video of the event which could be incorporated into a web site.
Also, the web site could be interactive, providing for responses from
viewers.
No, I don't want to build it. Further, I do not have that much technical
web page creating ability.
Is this just surrealistic eddy currents of aging cerebral simms or is it
something to do?
